Terms of Service

Last updated 17 September 2026

These terms apply when you use TendPass, Tend Connect, our websites, booking pages, mobile apps, share links, QR codes, APIs, and related services.

By using Tend, you agree to these terms. If you use Tend on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

Our Products

  • TendPass is a pet owner product for storing reusable pet profiles, health records, vaccination records, medication details, allergies, feeding notes, documents, and shareable pet readiness information.
  • Tend Connect is a business product for pet care providers, including boarding, daycare, grooming, training, and related services, to manage bookings, intake, payments, customer communication, readiness checks, and business workflows.
  • Tend booking pages and share links help owners send relevant pet information to participating businesses and help businesses reduce manual intake work.

TendPass And Tend Connect Handoffs

TendPass and Tend Connect are connected products with different roles. TendPass helps an owner maintain a reusable pet record. Tend Connect helps a participating business manage its own bookings, intake, readiness, payments, care operations, and communication. A business may receive information from TendPass or collect equivalent information directly through its booking page.

When you start a booking or a QR/pairing handoff, you are authorising the named business and venue to receive the information needed for that flow. Depending on the share scope and booking, this may include pet profile details, vaccination evidence, medications, conditions, feeding and care details, emergency or veterinarian contacts, notes, a photo, and owner or booking contact details. You remain responsible for checking that the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

Share links and handoffs may expire or be revoked where the product provides that control. Expiry or revocation prevents future access through the token but does not recall information already viewed or copied by a business. Tend Connect may retain a booking-specific snapshot and related messages, care, payment, and audit records so the business can operate the service and meet safety, accounting, or legal obligations. A share or booking does not guarantee that the business will accept a pet or provide a service.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, except where caused by our breach of these terms or applicable law.

Owner Responsibilities

  • Keep pet, health, medication, vaccination, contact, and emergency information accurate and up to date.
  • Only upload records you have the right to upload and share.
  • Review extracted information before relying on it.
  • Understand that each pet care business may have its own requirements before accepting a pet.

Business Responsibilities

  • Use Tend Connect lawfully and only for legitimate pet care business purposes.
  • Maintain accurate business, service, pricing, booking, refund, cancellation, and venue policy information.
  • Ensure staff access is appropriate and remove access when staff no longer need it.
  • Make your own decisions about animal acceptance, safety, vaccination requirements, care standards, and operational risk.
  • Comply with laws that apply to your business, including privacy, consumer, workplace, animal welfare, tax, and payment obligations.

Business Data And Venue Terms

A Tend Connect business is responsible for the booking, care, communication, payment, and retention decisions it makes using information in its account. It must limit staff access to people who need it for legitimate business purposes and provide any venue-specific privacy notice, booking terms, consent request, or retention information that applies to its services.

Tend provides the connected software and infrastructure; Tend is not the pet care provider, does not control a venue's acceptance decision, and is not a party to the venue's separate service contract with an owner. If a booking page asks you to accept venue terms, that acceptance is in addition to these Tend terms.

No Veterinary Advice

Tend is software. It does not provide veterinary advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency animal care. Information in Tend may help organise records, but owners and businesses should seek advice from a qualified veterinarian where needed.

Document Extraction

Tend may use scanning, OCR, and AI-assisted extraction to help turn documents into structured fields. These tools can make mistakes. Extracted fields are not guaranteed to be complete, current, or correct. Owners and businesses remain responsible for checking important information before relying on it.

Tend Connect Assistant

Tend Connect may provide an AI assistant to authorised business staff. The assistant can use the staff member's question and relevant tenant-scoped booking, occupancy, revenue, facility, or policy context to produce a response. It may use Anthropic as an AI provider, and assistant sessions are stored with the business account subject to staff permissions.

Assistant responses are suggestions, not instructions or professional advice. Staff must check important facts and remain responsible for decisions about bookings, animal care, safety, policies, payments, and communications. A policy change proposed by the assistant is only a preview and requires the explicit confirmation provided in the product; ordinary business record changes remain subject to the business's permissions and workflows.

Bookings And Services

Pet care services are provided by the relevant business, not by Tend, unless we expressly say otherwise. Tend provides software to help request, manage, pay for, and communicate about bookings.

A booking request may still require business approval. A business may set its own check-in rules, vaccination requirements, cancellation rules, refund rules, and acceptance criteria, provided those rules comply with applicable law.

Payments, Refunds, And Payouts

Payments may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. Tend does not store full card numbers. We may store transaction identifiers, payment status, deposit status, refund status, and payout metadata.

Unless Tend is directly selling a service to you, the relevant business is responsible for its prices, service delivery, cancellations, and refunds. Any platform fees, subscription fees, or payment processing fees will be shown or agreed before they apply.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Where we are allowed to limit liability, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not misuse Tend, interfere with security, scrape the service, reverse engineer protected parts of the product, or attempt unauthorised access.
  • Do not upload unlawful, misleading, harmful, offensive, or infringing content.
  • Do not use Tend to spam, harass, impersonate others, or send messages unrelated to genuine pet care workflows.
  • Do not knowingly provide false pet health, vaccination, medication, booking, or payment information.

Your Content And Licence To Us

You retain ownership of content and records you upload. You give us a limited licence to host, store, copy, process, display, transmit, and use that content as needed to provide Tend, improve Tend, comply with law, and support authorised sharing flows.

Share Links And QR Codes

TendPass may let owners share pet information using links, QR codes, booking flows, or authorisations. You are responsible for choosing the named recipient and the information you provide. Depending on the flow, the recipient may receive a limited scope such as a summary or vaccination records, or a fuller booking handoff needed for intake. We may provide controls to expire or revoke access where supported, but those controls cannot remove a copy the recipient already received.

Third-Party Services

Tend may integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, email providers, push notification providers, hosting providers, AI providers, app stores, and business systems. Some Discover results are supplied by Google Places and are subject to Google Maps Platform terms.

Availability And Changes

We aim to keep Tend reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Tend as the product evolves.

Intellectual Property

Tend, TendPass, Tend Connect, our branding, software, designs, workflows, and related materials are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or use them except as allowed by these terms or with our written permission.

Suspension And Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these terms, unlawful activity, security risk, non-payment, or misuse of Tend. You may stop using Tend at any time.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tend is not liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of data, business interruption, animal care decisions made by a business, owner-provided inaccuracies, or reliance on unverified extracted information. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. It forms part of how we provide Tend.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth courts of Australia.
